You can in JJOS1 4.99L set up the input through to be processed by the filter section. But once I switch to the sampler it turns these things off. Please add so one can sample through the filter / effects section.

or swing per pad like maschine! lol.

seriously though, realtime swing adjustment would be awesome. open up TC window and as the beat is playing, be able to change settings on the fly and preview them.

and/or in pgm mode, add another column called "TC" so you could set each pad a separate non destructive TC values.

example, say on pad a01, I go to pgm mode, hit pad ao1, then I go to the TC column - by default "shift timing" value of zero is displayed in the column. I could adjust the value by highligting it and using the scroll wheel to shift timing negative or positive values. If im happy with the value, i can just leave it and go about my other business.

OR I could then "open window" on that value and get a deeper dialog box with all the TC settings for that pad. I could then adjust all the params in the dialog box while the beat is playing and hear my changes.

on the dialog box window i get to buttons "close" and "reset" so if i want to go back i can hit reset and nothing is changed, if i close the window, it keeps my settings. Since it is non destructive, I can always go back and hit "reset". it differs from the main TC dialog box because its per pad, realtime, and there is not a "fix" button. it is realtime Non destructive param adjustment like the rest of the pgm parameters.

and if per pad is too much, it can always be per track, but implemented in a similar way in pgm mode in the track mixer sub menu.

this would be similar to the maschine swing per pad but better, right?

HOW ABOUT THIS: per pad or per track realtime TC settings (see pics below):

Add a new column to pgm mode called TC (see pic below). Default value would be 1/16 and you could adjust "shift timing" in the column (either that or it would be % swing). if you wanted more settings, you hit window button on column value to open dialog box(see next pic)
Image

Dialog box for TC settings in pgm mode when 'window' is pressed on selected pad. All these settings can be changed realtime. SO as the track is playing, you can adjust the parameters and hear the changes. If you want to here the original settings while tracck is playing you can press "BYPASS". you can close the window and your changes will be saved. if you come back you will see your settings. if you want to reset the settings press "RESET". If you want to permanantly make your TC changes, you can use "COMMIT" and your changes will be permanant-this will commit your changes to the sequence (like normal TC fix button).

OR

This feature can also be in the Track mixer window instead of the main pgm window and it can either be per pad OR per TRACK 'realtime TC settings' (see pic below) this would have same dialog box as above. the default value could also be % SWING instead of "+-Shift Timing"

Here is the window if default value is changed on pad or track:

copy/paste in grid mode

CUT&PASTE

In my opinion it would be one of the most useful improvement.

I would love to be able to record sequences live! As in, go to Next Seq - press Rec/Play and have your Song show up in Song mode for editing... or something like that. Or go to song mode - hit Rec/Play - and spin the dial or press the up and down button while it's playing and hit enter, like all the old drum machines (ideally I could play them from the pads though)

Also, I find that I record something to a sequence, turn the record off and try to go to Next Seq a lot... And it won't let me! Soooooo........

a decent round robin function would be great!

maybe add an option to the layer screen to have the samples played randomly everytime the pad is hit.

Would like an option to retain rhythms when changing time signature - as in, if you go from 3/4 to 4/4, part of the second bar will end up in the first bar, rather than leaving a blank space. Or, if you go 4/4 to 3/4, there will be extra measures rather than deleted notes.

Before I start with my ideas. How do you guys create those MPC screens? Is there any tool to help out creating them?

1. To save memory it would be awesome if the MPC could support OGG / FLAC / APE and other non destructive compression formats when loading samples.

2. Why oh why isn't there a proper ADSR envelope? I think it isn't really helpful the way the envelope is organized now. Playing looped samples just cuts them out too fast, and I'm on 16 MB RAM which means that I really could use some longer envelopes.

Upgrade to os2xl, you'll have ADSR, L+R recording and other functions you requested before
