pad cuts off HOLD-LOOP sample on the same pad but on a different track.

from here:

viewtopic.php?f=25&t=146595

Greetings

so I'm playing around with some guitar samples assigned to pads A1, A2, A3. All set to loop and hold. So I hit pad A1 on track 1, the guitar chord sample plays in a loop, I switch to track 2 where I have a drum program, I hit pad A1 (with a kick drum) and it cuts off the looping sample on track 1 pad A1. Is there a way to make the MPC not do that. i want the guitar samples to loop on track 1 and play drums on track 2.

thanks in advance

mute groups messed up. jjos2xl v2.30 - they are not working cross track even though the same program is used.

1. assign Program 01 on track 1 and track 2
2. make all pads assigned to mute group 1.
3.record pad A01 event on track 1
4.go to track 2 (uses same program),
5.play sequencer
6.press arbitrary pads part of mute group 1 and Program 01 on track 2
7.mute group does not work

how it should work, and has in the past:
regardless of what track you are on, mute group should work for all tracks that use the same program, mute groups are not track dependant, they are program dependant.

jjos2xl v2.30 - 16 levels, mute groups - 16 levels using mute groups from other pads not 16 leveled pad.

1.create new program
2.assign all pads to arbitrary mute group, except 1 pad (example, pad A05)
3.record some events into sequencer, say pad A01
3.select pad A05 (no mute group assigned), turn on 16 levels for that pad
4. hit play, start pressing the 16 level pads. they will cut off pad A01 even though pad A05 isnt originally part of the mute group.
5.it seems to be using the mute group of whatever pad you press, even though you are in 16 levels on a pad that is not part of a mute group.

how it should work or has in the past:
if you 16 levels a pad not part of a mute group, all pads pressed for that 16 levels instance should use that given pads mute group settings (the 16 leveled pad) not the other pad mute group settings.

So I wasn't imagining things. I thought I noticed that too, but was too lazy to further investigate & report it...

JJ OS 1 4.99L:

Chopping sounds leaves a garbled 1/10 second of the first sample. Not a big issue I know, but it is nonetheless pretty annoying once you know you've knocked out a loop properly, and still one has to get back to edit the last sample.

I don't know if it's a bug but if you customize the F1 key to show LOOP, there's only T.C. as a choice when using an AUDIO track. I think it's annoying.

I've just messed with FADE IN / FADE OUT in audio grid edit for the first time. Forgetting to select a range after pressing FADE IN and then press FIX leads to heavy distortion.

It was confirmed and will probably be fixed in the next update.
