mmc locate problems with cubase 5

I dont know why, in the grid edit i can´t sync the locate function with the cubase. when i move de data wheel to 2.1.0 in cubase is in 1.4.4.108 and ive tried all the midi configurations (i think) possibles.
i have updated my 25k to the free os looking for fix a problem with a audio cut in the track recording sync and i ve discovered that and i think is the solution to both problems.
someone know about that?

Two things that I think might help (although Im still learning!!)

[1] Have you set the MPC and Cubase to the same BPM (otherwise the locate may not match up)

Hey, I use CubaseSX 2.2...you can set Cubase as slave in this version...not positive about Cubase Le, though. The thing is, in Sx 2.2, Cubase can only receive MTC as sync source...Not an issue if you have MPC since it can send either Midi Clock or MTC (MIDI Time Code). Just set MPC as master and send MTC with MMC (MIDI Machine Control). MMC makes sure Cubase responds to you using the locate button on the MPC and whatnot. You will have to select MTC frame rate in MPC, as well.

Set Cubase to slave...using Sync setup option (under Transport mens). Be sure to select the correct MIDI input source for MTC (if you have multiple MIDI ins). You will then have to set the sync to online (under transport menu as well). When you press play or record on Cubase now, it should display something like idle (waiting for MIDI input) ONce you start MPC, it will begin playback/recording...Oh yeah, the first time you hit start on MPC, a dialog box might pop up asking you about the MTC frame rate...Click ok (this will cause Cubase to switch to whatever rate the MPC is set as), I usually just go with 24...Again this is for CubaseSX 2.2, but I'm sure process is similar so you can apply this these instructions...

yes, this is the config what i´ve got, but the problem is in, what the cubase is only reconizing the time position p.ej. when i move the data wheel the time no change with the bars, i am in 001.01.05 but the timer is still in 00:00:00:00 and then cubase no change his position. and when i move the wheel again to 001.01.06 then the mpc change to the first :01 and the cubase change as well to :01 in the timer, but the bar locators are in diferent positions in each machines, the mpc is in 001.01.06 and the cubase is in 001.01.21
i dont know why this erratic function but i think is becouse are many tics of diference to change the timers and the cubase cant recgnice where must be his locator.
anyone know something about that or one solution for these question?

Same issue here!

It's odd that the timecode positions agree but the bars/beats position does not.

The bars/beats position in cubase falls behind the bars/beats position in mpc.

First bar

Mpc 01.01.00 bars/ 00.00.00 timecode
Cub 01.01.00 bars/ 00.00.00 timecode

Second bar

Mpc 02.01.00 bars/ 00.02.19 timecode
Cub 0.1.59.14 bars/ 00.02.19 timecode

With cubase bar position falling behind more as the bars continue!?

Why don't the bar lengths correspond with equal timecode position.

This difference occurs even when selecting a bar with cursor in mpc!

What exactly are the problems you are having?

Are you setting the same tempo/time signature in your Cubase project as what the MPC sequence is set to?

Are you setting the MTC framerate to the same number of FPS on both Cubase and the MPC?
