By LooseLeaf Thu Sep 29, 2011 3:14 am
Hey, anyone who owns the wood panel kit for the 2000xl. Is there any way I can get detailed measuments 0f the wood panels?I'm attempting to start making them and would like to use the specs. MPCSTUFF uses. Thanks. I'll throw some pics up when finished.

Hello and welcome to the board. :D

Are you making them for your personal gear or to sell? If so, what will the prices be like?

Thank you have a much nice day. :)

Probably only for myself at first to see how it comes out. I've done woodwork before so it shouldn't be too hard. Do you own the wood panels so i can get a measurement?

maybe check the customized mpc thread in the 2000/2000xl section and take a look at who has them and ask.

Knock us up one of these when you're done with the panels :)

You want to rip off a businesses product design and you want us to help you.

Why not just buy a set and alter the design somehow to make it your own?

Or, measure the machine and create your own original design from scratch?

No such thing as a free lunch.

go easy on the guy, i dont think hes trying to 'rip off' anyone ... he prob just wants to make some himself, doesnt want to buy any to do so (wtf is the point of that?), and just figured he'd start with a sound design.

having said that, yer best bet is to just measure your mpc and make them from scratch.

i also disagree about the free lunch thing - the one time i went in to a chipotle, they started off by comping my jalapenos due to my confusion with their burrito-distribution system, then ended up comping the whole meal for me and my lady.
free lunch for us, but ive never been back....sorry guys that was nice though. 8)

That's what i reckon, you could make some bad ass ones. Also the shitty ones from MPC stuff are stuck on with adhesive pads. WTF, who's gonna trust those???????
