problem with digital connection between mpc 2500 and emu 040

hello, i tried to connect my mpc to my audio interface, in to out and out to in, but nothing happens either way. i ve used different rca cables, nothing happens, i ve tried different settings for my soundcard, nothing happened as well. have you got any ideas?

Are you using 75 Ohm digital cables or standard audio RCA cables?

Don't listen to stories.

Use proper digital cables for digital I/O.

Then you won't have to come here asking why your schit won't work properly.

Go to the store, ask for 75 Ohm coax or SPDIF cable with RCA connectors.

i have a emu 0404 usb and want to sample from my laptop from spdif (coaxial 75 ohm). my setup goes like this: mpc connected to 0404 ins so i can track out my beats easily. minikorg on left record in of my mpc (right one is dead), and a coaxial cable from 0404 spdif out to mpc digital in. so, i play a file on my laptop, hit record (input:digital) on my mpc and nothing happens. what i am i doing wrong? i dont know much about spdif, but i think it should work just like i were connecting my mpc to my card analog wise.

You may need to select the digital output on your laptop.

pretty sure problem is with your interface, you're not ouputting sound on coaxial
