Looking For Artist To Sample For A New Producer

looking for somthing smooth and simple to sample i need the names of some artist PLZ HELP ya boy out

I'm sorry I can't. The point of sampling used to be going out and finding things others haven't. You gotta earn that sample, thats why its called digging. Not trying to be a dick, but its the truth. I'll send you 30 sample worthy songs for the right price, I need compensation for the time I spent searching for those tracks.

wtf? Go dig in a crate and maybe you will learn something about music, producers, sounds, instruments, labels and yourself. You might even find a dope sample!

If you want simple why not just buy a sample pack from the site? It'll get you going. Then just sample from the music that inspires you.

If those records are sample based, do some research into where those guys got their samples, and then look at artists in that genre.

I know you're new to sampling, you can practice chopping drum breaks into individual hits and reprogramming your own drum patterns. Also just sample anything that sounds good whether it lasts for a beat or bars and chopping it into smaller sections.

That will give you some of the skills you'll need once you learn how and where to find other samples. Also there are a few threads in this forum that offer sampling material, these are useful if searching for vinyl isn't an option.

People often assume you have the opportunity, time and resources to be a traditional digger. You can practice with any .wav files downloaded from the Internet.

You might as well sample some of your stuff from a hifi or computer to get your sampling game up too.

i know the point is finding a rare sample and earning it and you gotta put the work in just alot of people say i am trying to much to early so i was looking for an artist with some SIMPLE breaks and loops to practice not the gem of your collection just a recomondation to practice on but i get every ones point.

For a beginner, I recommend some Booker T. and the MGs, Isaac Hayes, John Coltrane, Jimi Hendrix, Rare Earth. But for fun check out Miroslav's Magical Shepard.

We dig music because we love music and not just for sampling. But when we do sample, its really expressing that love for the music in our own way so thats why you received a flamming because its like you have no passion for any music and just want to be spoonfed the dope stuff. This is an artform within an artform. So don't take it to heart, just misunderstood. Now get crackin'.

But seriously , to find what you need to sample, just dig for music you love...
If you like soul just sample soul, you like jazz, sample jazz! Just find style you like the most, if it's soul, check the big names like Stevie Wonder, Temptations, Marvin Gaye etc...
If it's jazz, check John Coltrane, Bill Evans, Donald Byrd...
That way, you will discover a lot of musicians, singers... It will come naturally!

Classical is definitely good for starters. Head down to your local thrift store and pick up some classical music on vinyl.
