maybe you could upholster that bottom piece with leather and padding to create an arm rest... with the slight gap it looks like it might have the room.

i agree. you need to put back the black sides that Forat did for you. that thing looked fresh when you got it back from him.

the wood is overkill and it don't look right.

Killing me with the wood disses lol.. I always loved the way the 3000 looks with the wood on it so I tried to make it work with the 25. FAIL I guess lol.. But yo that armrest leather wrap doesn't sound bad at all I'm just trying to figure how to go about it... I don't want to do the front and not the sides... As far as taking off the front and leaving the sides.. It won't look right tried that... Maybe I'll just go back to the black stock painted end-caps and call it a day...Hey can't knock me for trying.. (oh wait you already did) haha

maybe take a look at the 60 and try to achieve the way that looks with the arm rest.. or look up on google old studiomaster mixers (or soundcraft etc) to see their arm rests as they had wood sides too... I think they had leather, and on the top surface there is a foam or something to create the padding.. it is probably stapled under it.

Staples underneath might not look tight I would gettin stitiched with triple stitch they used to outline car leather seats and interior.

I'm not gonna loose this one.. I'm cutting a brand new frame. I'll custom make a better kit that fits this machine on point. I saw one kid on here with a wood frame on a 25 that I thought looked dope.. Idc who hated on it his was perfect. I'm gonna buy better wood than the garbage mpc-stuff sells. Basically copy their cuts and just improve the front piece. Throw a dope sanding on it with a light wood stain..done. I just need some free time... The only hard part!

Damn...wonder if you can return 'em even through they've been modded?

@kustom: thank you for remembering my mpc frame - feel free to copy any design idea to your own machine.

the armrest is angeled at the back to fit the front of the mpc, because i thought this would be more stable if i lean on it - turned out that the wood itself (ashwood) is strong enough not to bend anyways.

we used the original mounting holes and the three pieces of wood were bolted and glued to form one u-shaped unit. all connectors on the front, the dvd-drive and the cf-card reader are still fully accessible.

Yup! That's the one I was talking bout... Dope job on that kid!! I'm trying to get some free time to make mine. But out of all the wood frames I saw so far yours is the cleanest.. IMO

i´m going to install white fader caps and white knobs. i´ll keep you posted. the tag on the front is NOT written with a pen. it has been printed on clear decal film and then applied to the surface. you can get the decal sheets from www.aero-spezial-modellbauversand.de (they ship worldwide)!
have you noticed the numblock overlay?




thanks to jjosxl we are able to assign the num buttons to different modes.
it´s made out of magnetic foil, so you can remove the overlay without residue.

i have some of them left (with slightly different labeling; will post pics when you guys are interested). hit me up if you want one. 12 € including worldwide shipping.

although i use the numbers i'm intrigued as to how you can assign those button to take you to different modes. help?
