Help Using Track Mixer - Can't get it to send to effects.

Hi All,

I'm wanting to send all sounds I've recorded onto track 3 through to a reverb effect in FX1.

I've selected my track3 in the track mixer page and the output is set to ST. FX is set to FX1 and SND is 100.
I thought this should send the effect through but I'm not hearing any difference? It's a pretty extreme reverb aswel so should be obvious...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Lamp, I don't know who needs more coffee right now... me or you.
But anyway, hard-wearing is running the JJ OS for the 1k or 2500 and needs to go into the effect section (MODE + PAD 12).
Then press F2 (L/OUT) and change the assignment on top from TR (track) to ST (stereo) for each pad that you want the effect routed to.
After that, press F3 (FX SEND) and on the top, you'll see 2 dashes (--). Change those fields for either FX 1 or 2 to be assigned there. Adjust your send levels on the same page and you're good!

im gonna go try this right now! can you set effects to certain pads or just tracks?

There is the mixer PAD 8,track mixer PAD 4,and program PAD 7 to set your results. I have always
felt this is a mess considering you still have to set(or check) to get results.PEACE TYPO

This isn't quite what I was after, let me try and explain.

I'm running JJos 2XL on an MPC1000.

I was under the impression that using the TRACK mixer (MODE + PAD4) I was able to route effects to individual tracks as oppose to instruments?

I have recorded various drum parts on different tracks, and I only want the effects to be working on the specific tracks, not the entire kit. I have a straight tom line going on track1, and I have a different tom beat going on track 2, I would like to apply effects to track 2 without changing the sound of track 1.

Hope that makes sense! I'm sure this should be possible, but I'm getting no joy using the effects in the track mixer.

Have you tried assigning the track outs in Program Edit (mode + pad7)? Press f6 to see this screen:



and adjust track outs from there.
