Just got my mpc about 20 minutes ago, all i have is the power cable. I tried plugging my Beats By Dre headphones in...=l as most of you know that was a fail. I need to know what i cables i need to connect my mpc to my pc. And also what adaptor would i need to use my headphones? Or would i be able to use my headphones through my computer and don't need an adaptor to put them in the MPC?

there are only a small number of different types of audio connectors - the cables you need are ones that have the right connector types on each end - you look at your mpc and your computer, and you see what type of plugs they take, then you get a cable that has those at each end.

read this http://tweakheadz.com/laboratory/hook_u ... io_now.htm and the rest of that site too

Or you just plug some headphones on your mpc and you bang some shit or you buy something to connect it to your home stereo. To do that you go to a music shop and you ask for a guitar cable (jack 1/4, means the plug is 1/4 inch, the big one) and for an adaptor to 1/8 (the little one, you know the ipod headphone plug kind). The 1/4 side of the cable goes in the mpc`s phone plug, the adapted side in your stereo`s line in plug. You just have to change your stereo setting to out and you are on. The other solution is to buy software (live reason protools reaper etc), a maudio fastrack or something and some audio monitors... But i think it would be fine to start from the basics before of that. The mpc can do complete songs all alone, you dont really need nothing else before you master it. Ah if you haven`t any dj headphone you need a 1/8 to 1/4 adapter... You can find it wherever they sell stereos or music stuff
