What up? I did a search for this but didn't find anything that helped so sorry if this has been posted repeatedly.
Anyways, I have a MPC 2000 Studio. I also have an Iomega Zip Drive (External) with no manual. Someone told me that I couldn't hook it up to my MPC but the manual says different (unless I'm reading it wrong). I'm not sure how to hook it up.

How will the MPC recognize the ZIP Drive if I don't use the CD that came with the ZIP drive?

I'm basically lost here on how to hook it up. Do I just connect the MPC to the ZIP drive, turn on the ZIP Drive and then the MPC and follow the steps from the manual?

It also said something about SCSI IDs. And making sure the MPC and the ZIP don't have the same ID. How do I set the IDs for the ZIP Drive and the MPC?

Also, if I do hook up the ZIP Drive, am I still able to load from the floppy that is on the MPC? Or is it going to always have to be from the ZIP Drive?

Sorry about all the questions, I'm just not sure what I'm doing here.

Thanks in advance.

Alright check it.You hook the mpc to the zip usin' your scsi cable. The cable goes into the right side of the zip(when lookin' at it from behind).Make sure you have the id set to 5 or 6.Turn your zip on and then the mp.Hold shift and 3(disk).Now cursor down to device and scroll through to zip.Scroll through til you get to your scsi i.d and you should be good. You won't auto load from the zip. You'll have to access the disk screen first. But you will be able to load from floppy.
