i dont think the mpc can do this, but i was wondering if i was mistaken.

in logic theres a box you can hit in the midi menu (if i remember correctly) that plays the midi note even if you start the cursor in the middle of it.

so i got this sample that plays once at the start of the sequence (its actually a whole song that i arranged in logic) but the seqeunce is 90 bars long and the part i want to start the drums at doesnt start until 8 bars in.

so when i loop that, if i ever push stop, the sample wont play unless i start it from the beginning again.

im trying to get it to play at whatever part its at without having to play the original note. will the mpc do this?

im running 2500 with jjos 2xl

thanks

Or chop the beat into sections, a few bars each, and trigger each one at the beginning of the appropriate bar.
Just another option, though I would also suggest the audio track
