Looks pretty good.

Is that the one you were talking about in the other thread or did that sale fall through completely?

How's the MPC3000 achillies heel, the backlight?

I don't know, I'll look it up in a few and if so I'll hit you up.

Right now for kapp I'm gonna do a sample test, run the same break straight from vinyl to the 4k, then the 3k and then the sp 303, no effects or editing and load them straight to youtube to compare sonic differences

@ clint, no that was a 60, the backlight is actually good, when I finally gave up on the 60 guy this 3k pretty much fell into my lap

Have the buttons been painted or are they down to the "bone" ?

thats a really great idea, but if you could put the wave files up and link to them from the youtubes - the youtube compression is just going to add another serious layer of sonic mangling that would probably obscure the results.

Can't really tell from the pics, but the buttons don't look too bad (aside from the labels missing) they look like they were painted from shot there. :D

I do think I'd paint over that armrest though

Congrats Arkyve!! I fired up my 3K last night after I replaced the tact swithches and re-created the original disks. When I listened to the demo's - I almost shed a tear! It sounds sooooooo good.

If you have some extra time/ambition/boredom you should experiment with actually doing something like the rest on the 60...some sort of padded armrest would be the bees knees. :D

I've always wanted to see a 3k with a padded arm rest

300 is a crazy good price

Replace your Tact switches !
