Recommendation - Golden Age Pre 73

I've bought a lot of shit gear over the years...But finally bought something that really made a big difference. Golden Era Pre73 Microphone Pre amp - made an immediate and huge difference to vocals...Recording with a rode K2 into a stock dig design 003. Used to have a nasty mid range frequency come out in my voice- new mic pre - that's gone and way way easier to mix vocals now. Money well spent if your looking to throw down some coin on some new gear...Peace

you can change the transformers in the signal path as well, making them even better. Open it up and have a look if you know what ya doing? Unplug it first of course

Cheers for the transformer tip - I listened to some recording samples that had the two different transformers....I couldn't hear a huge difference. So I think the standard one is good enough for me. Peace

I also have this preamp and it's dope. There's a new version coming out soon. Will be shown in AES in NYC. There's also a compressor too and they're also coming out with eq's too. Hoping to get them and pretty much have a channel strip.
