So.. my OG 1000 has almost had enough..

I've went thru new pads, the pad upgrade (now my #8 pad [mixer] is dead) my shift buttons been broken for years but with the stop button replacing it its fine.. and now my 16 levels button isn't workin anymore. I feel like selling it on eBay as-is, and putting that $$ towards a 500. nobody's gonna convince me to switch to maschine or software controllers... or will they?

anyways.. kind of tired with broken buttons and shit. there's no other way to get to my mixer menu and 16 levels is there?

The day my 1k becomes unrepairable, I'll go get a new one.

so, I'm gonna buy a 200$ pad kid to fix one f*ckin pad? seems stupid to me...and in a couple years have to do it again. I guess I could always remove the 16 lvels button like I used to do with my shift button and keep a pen handy to stick it in

get jjosxl and you can control your mpc with a midi controller.

Get a new one then go easy on the buttons, them shit's will mess up if you go in pressing them with your knuckle.

the buttons (aka tact switches) can be easily replaced. they cost about 50 cents each.

I got a Maschine last week. Loving it so far!

i'd be very curious to know what is wrong with the 1 pad. pad 8 you said? pull open your mpc and take off the rubber. look at the tiny little leads in between the plastic. look to see whether there's an obvious crack. you could very well be able to repair this at home with conductive paint and a steady hand.

as far as the buttons go, learn to solder and you will save yourself tons of money!
