On the NEWS side we have a new contributor on HelloSamples and a new section called "Positif Synth School".

A bunch of synth “how to’s” recreating famous sounds with our gear.
First on this series is the main "ay" or "yeah" synth sound on Daft Punk's "Human After All" track.
We recreated it on an Octave Cat synth from 1977-79 approx.

Sorry! I can't give you an MPC version... This is because of the big files and the edition I performed on the Maschine kits

Here we are with Volume 3 on the “8801 Vinyl Breaks” series.

We recall the settings from old “Vinyl Breaks” series on the Neve 8801… you know? This dry and punchy sound that everybody’s looking for… but we added extra flavor recording them on Tape, then sampling the result again!

.....Have you ever noticed the noise made by a rapper when writing a new song?

I was with a friend who’s recording on my studio and I noticed he was writing at the same tempo as the beat was playing. Also, he beats the notebook with the pen creating subtle and strange percussion sounds that caught my attention.

The sound kits are still free! Think as giving us your email as a way of paying us for the free work! It's just a way for having some traking over the people who downloads our sounds.

Maybe, from the outside, it looks like we have let the HelloSamples projet apart...
We have just been more involved on our musical projects. And reconsidering the way we develop the HelloSamples project.

We have recieved several invitations from musicians, sound field recorders and sound designers to work and collaborate with HelloSamples. The team is growing and we are working on new sounds, new and more complex libraries, investing in new gear! So yes.. New low cost comercial libraries are coming!

But don't worry!
We are going to mantain our free philosopy in mind and try to bring more sounds this year for you.
