I don't know if there's any topic like this, but my idea was to share things that you've noticed in beats.
i.e.: I hear that on Mobb Deep's Infamous Havoc is using the 16 level function alot of times.

I heard someone once used drums from a James Brown tune.

I heard michael jackson got an mpc60 before it came out and they made billie jean on it

I cant, but I heard some producers found out about unlocking the secret 1/4 timing note repeat and used the secret technique with a 909 kick...

Dilla had a secret timing sequence for his drums so no one could ever sound like him again, Araab muzik does a lot of finger drumming and to repeat... (or thats the rumor going around). Dj shadow actually invented the mpc 60! oh and emptysea uses a maschine
