When nudging events in grid edit and going to the pad mute screen, it would be handy if it could return directly to grid edit (instead of main screen) when pressing the track mute button one more time. It would avoid an unnecessary extra step.

I ve always thought that the incompatibility between main screen and pad mute was a real drawback but in the above case it s pretty cool.

Peace

± 0 - 1378.125 values for shift timing it would be amazing SWING
and for note repeat as well would be amazing.

Thanks.

OK after playing with the track to pattern, and making sets of midi cc tracks for pad functions that control external midi gear it seems to me that after you set pad function it is set the same on every program. Please can we make theses pad functions change when I change program. Same as changing sets but i would like all the sets and pad functions to be swappable live. So i have program of 64 functions then change pad function set to normal when i change program OR make sets available on main screen. so i can change sets as i play.......I dont wanna record set changes just be able to have sets easily changed from main screen so i can switch pad functions, pad to CCs ect back to normal pad play sample function

As of now, Pattern Pads are only partially attached to Tracks and both over-ride and interact with Programs. I've been using Pattern Pads for controlling external MIDI gear and the JJ revisions are making things easier, but it's still a little awkward. For instance, turning OFF the Pattern field in the Main screen does not turn off Patterns, it turns off Patterns controlling program samples. CCs in patterns will still be sent, which means there's no way to turn off the function in the Main screen without setting the parameter on each individual pad.

I think JJ's on the right track by having the Pattern Pad function supersede Programs. Changing sets/configurations live, as you mentioned, would be a huge benefit. Setting MIDI Output of a Pattern Pad independently of Track would also be nice.

read my post again....seems you didnt understand me. Also MIDI output of a pattern pad is independent of track already. Say pad to pattern play and on main screen you set track out of pad function it will play on the midi of the tracks selected midi settings, try it!

Right, that's what I mean by partially attached.. the MIDI out selection is dependent on the active or referenced track. It allows for all types of configurations, however it could be more direct (and less set-up) to set a specific pad's MIDI output rather than set up a track and have a pad go through it.

Also, it's pretty useful to have the Pattern Pad function over-ride the Program Pad settings instead of being a part of Programs. However, as you mentioned, it would be nice to change Pattern Pad sets live. Additionally, it'd be useful to shut off all Pattern Pad functions as a whole rather than just individually.

Would love a track +/- shortcut in grid edit mode. Maybe f5 and f6 could do it when mode is pressed? I know how to highlight the number on the left, but sometimes that feels too slow.

yep i see what ya saying. Yeah being able to change sets from main screen is what we need. Thats why i wanted them attached to programs as we can change them live and or sequence set changes. not that i wanna sequence them. But if attached to programs i can effectivly name set set ups, if you follow me. This way i can have multiple sets for different midi devices and they can be easily identified and i can change them live....My devices do not share the same MIDI CCs and so hence different sets

Two requests for the Main screen regarding patterns.

1. Pattern Track Sound Field -> Pattern Set Selection Field
- PTRN:(OFF,1-10)
- OFF = Bypass Patterns/PCs/CCs all pads

2. Pad Mode: allow MIDI channel output in Track Field
- example: A01:PTRN:Pattern01 Tr/MIDI:13C +00 LOOP

yeah bumped. Is a good way to change sets from main screen that way, for sure. Brings me back to what i stated in the first place though. See if the Sets could be attached to a program then no need to have a Pattern Set Selection field and we could change sets with a program change and also name and save sets easily as well. and It also changes the Pad behaviour as well, i like how it is independent of the track but i think being able to change Pad status on the fly when i change programs or tracks would be good. So i could have the pads behaviour change depending on what tracks program SET is set to.

different simultaneous sequence for each sequence, shift + track mute goes to tracks for the ss

there is a shortcut that allows to change tracks, it s MODE + DATA WHEEL.

Peace

Woah. Thanks!

chop option on 16 levels.

so you don't have to make a new program every time you chop a sample.

would be pretty helpful. (chopping with velocity isnt as precise)
