Transposing a midi sequence

My apologies if this has already been asked, but it did not turn up when I searched it.

I have a midi sequence recorded on a track in my MPC1000 JJOS 1 v4.99 that I am sending to an external MIDI synth (DSI Tetra).

One of the sequences is an octave too low, is there any way to transpose the entire sequence up one octave in my MPC?
Or do I actually have to do this shit note by note?

Transposing on the Tetra is not an option cuz it would screw up the other sequences I have for the song.

In the mode "Seq edit" ([Mode]+Pad13) you can perform a transpose on event level.
Check the Akai OS manual page 35, should be the same in JJ OS 1!
"Changing the key of the event (TRANSPOSE)
You can transpose (change the key of) the note events. This edit only applies to the note events of a MIDI
track. It does not change DRUM track data.
01. Select the Edit field in the EVENT page of the SEQ EDIT mode, and select TRANSPOSE.
The various fields necessary for the transpose will be displayed.
02. In the Time field and the Notes field, select the region that you wish to edit.
03. In the Edit sq field and the Tr field on the right, select the sequence and track that you
wish to edit.
In the Edit sq field and the Tr field, you can select ALL by turning the DATA wheel. When you select ALL, the
MPC1000 will transpose all the sequences and tracks.
Note: This edit only applies to the note events of a MIDI track. It does not change DRUM track data.
04. In the Amount field, set the amount of the transpose.
You can set by semitones.
05. Press the [F6] (DO IT) key.
The MPC1000 will start the transpose."

thnx for this, I didn't even know there was option to transpose (seq,track,bar). Works perfectly. As a result I checked all "seq edit" options to just refresh my mind on stuff there.

Thanks for this! This sorts out transposing midi tracks nicely.

I also learned theres no need to transpose patterns because theres a transpose option on the Main screen for each pattern pad.
