greetings!

is there a quick way to exchange bars of a sequence? I only know how to do it by copying, pasting, deleting, pretty cumbersome and flow-stopping.

That's how I was doing the copy/paste/deleting.

Maybe I did not formulate my question properly, here's an example:

I've got a 2 bar sequence looping. Track 10 has a drum beat playing, track one has a bass sound. I'm trying to make up a bass line, once I get something I like I hit record, but it just happens that I start recording at the beginning of bar 2 instead of the first bar. So now I have a 2 bar bass line, but it starts on the second bar. So I need to shift all the notes, i.e. bar 1 and bar 2 of the bass track have to switch places.

I can do that in SEQ EDIT by copying the first bar to the third bar, then deleting the first bar. I wish there was a way to shift the beginning point of a track without having to go through this procedure.

You can do it in the main screen and even faster now using the data wheel in the bar field and pressing
overdub/record button F4 F5 F6.PEACE TYPO

I wouldn't say that it's faster, and it only applies to one track, you can't copy/paste the whole sequence.

Tit for tat in such a misguided post.Do you want to sequence edit or bar edit?

Both :) Sometimes I need to move the starting point of a track, sometimes of the whole sequence.
