You need some sort of audio program (protools, sonar, cubase, reason, soundedit, soundforge) on your computer, and a sound card in between the PC and 1000. Once you've made a beat, i like to do each sound in seperate tracks... You can go to the mute page, and have control of all your seperate sounds. Hit record on you comp, and play on your 1000. You can record your beats into the comp with whatever layout you want. If you have a multi track recording program (protools, sonar) you can play each track in full, into individual tracks. Then edit them later once there all synced up...
