Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I hope it's alright placing this thread on this message board. I'm doing a project with some Detroit Emcee's. Need beats for a mixtape. I'm willing to trade an 8-outs board for the hottest beat someone is willing to swap. Post here. I'll move the thread to the Original Music board if people get upset as this is some-what solicitation. But I have 1 board to give away for sure. Possibly 2 if there's some really dope shit. The winner will have to provide the full beat tracked out. I will then mail you the 8-outs, I will cover shipping and insurance on the board. I promise to credit the production accordingly and we will not be putting any corny rappers on your beat, you have my word. Post links to your soundcloud accounts and so forth for contest submissions. Good luck. I will leave this open for submissions until Nov 30th.

Thanks, and good point. I'm more interested in high energy tracks, but i don't want to discourage any submissions or persuade people from not submitting a certain type of beat. I just want a classic hip hop sound. That's why I'm coming to mpc-forums.com for this. I know it's hip hop heads central and we are going to hear some amazing stuff. post some bangers so I can get these 8 outs in the mail. If this works out, I am planning on holding another comp or simply awarding another set of 8 outs to the composer of my second favorite beat that is entered in the contest. Don't dilly dally. Please submit. you can submit as many tracks as you like for this contest. it doesn't really matter, I'm looking to put together a hell of a project. I have a graveyard of Akai parts laying around my house. If this works out, there will be more of this to come in the future. Thanks, and good luck.

http://soundcloud.com/locotesmjr/sista just in case you have a female artist in your project....

http://soundcloud.com/locotesmjr/unorthodox_blocks - I used some Sick Jacken's (Psycho Realm) accapella in this one so you can get the idea... IDK if this is what you are looking for when you said "I'm more interested in high energy tracks" but at least this is what it came to my mind... :D

thank god i'm getting some submissions here. good stuff. every one. I like the laid back electro john miller shit. Locotesmjr, you have more tracks available to hear? good stuff.

by high energy, i guess my favorite style is some dirty sample based, chopped up horns, like some just blaze or no i.d. killer brass shit. if someone drops one of those, i'd pretty much guarantee them the win. but it's open till Nov 30th for sure. keep em coming.

Keep in mind this is going to have someone writing a rap song over it. so consider verse and chorus structures, and not just having 2 different sequences repeating for 3 mins. good work so far tho

come on... i dont think the actual masta kill lost that much faith in the rza.. hahaha...

and prolly has a higher budget then a graveyard of mpc parts people like us would actually appreciate getting (those dudes wouldn't even think to trade something like that)

Actually yes, I have plenty of beats in here... I like to make remixes because that way I adapt my beat to the acapella, pauses, fx, etc... to me high energy means hardcore not necessarily high tempos but dark sounds, horns, violins, etc that's why I asked you, could also be interpreted as those very high tempo beats with lots of cymbals and hi hats...

All this beats that I recently uploaded have an structure because like I said I adapted the beat to the acappella so the beats has intro-verses-chorus-outros just like should be...

You have 16 tracks here:

http://soundcloud.com/locotesmjr/sets

I also have almost 200 beats at home but they still need to find a good acappella... I'm currently working remixing 10 MF Doom tracks (I have 5 ready) and I'm producing a group in Spain using only the SP-505 and vinyl records, everything in Lo-Fi...

You can take a listen to some snippets in here:

Also I have this beat made in the 2000 classic:
