Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Fellow MPC users,

Ive been the MPC over a few years now and went from my 2000 to the XL with the whole package.
So ive got the 8outs and the EB-16 installed, but thats also when the drama begins trying to trackout on my rolandvs1680 harddiscrecorder.
I know exactly what the manual says, but to my concern it is incomplete when it comes to this.
So are there any of you guys who know how to track out the FX by using the 8outputboard?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

DJ-lowphat

go to the effects edit screen and in the mix area (right above F6) push open window... on the bottom left you can pick output: master.. change it to the right output you want

thanks! i see it's only possible in stereo, would mono samples be ignored?
i see it isnt an option with the 2 reverbs to track out by using the 8outs...so basically i cant use more than 2effects at the same time isnt it?

the fx chains are stereo only, so you've got to use 2 outs for an fx channel.

well you use the main outs for a reverb... I guess.

I dont see the point in tracking out individual stems if you are using the not so amazing eb16 effects.

2kxl manual, pg 131. mixer functions.

"When the sound is in stereo, it is possible to select two digit
numbers such as 1/2 or 3/4.

......the odd number is the left channel and the even number
is the right channel (Output 1 = left / Output 2 = right)."

Mono samples will be assignable to 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8.

Stereo samples will be assignable to 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8.

^ yeah, and the fx send winds up being a stereo out... even if mono samples are the only thing running through it.
