New here ! say hello

well i am a OLD Reason/FL/Ableton producer i recorded lots of drum kits , guitars , etc etc
but now i'm tryin to start out making beats on a MPC 500 i just buyd it 2 days ago
but i'm still with some questions i cant find in the manual

I can load my sounds etc to the card but i dont realy know how to save it
example:

I load up some sounds to the pads and then i wanna make a kind of preset so when i turn it off i can load up my own made kits/presets i dunno the word for it

hope you guys could help me out a bit

Make several 2 bar loop sequences (can also copy your 2 bar loop several times).
Change/edit/redo each sequence.
Chain them all together in song mode.

Songmode will only read the track assignments of the very first sequence in the chain so make sure all sequences
have the exact same track assignments.

RAM is for powered on workspace, sounds, songs, samples, max out your ram if possible.
CF/HD is for offline storage, save often when working heavy.

Save each song in it's own folder along with all associated samples and files.

MPC's cannot read across folders so saving one songs parts/files in 2 different folders will not load the whole song.

This same stuff goes to dbxmusic for the 2500.

USB on the mpc is not for MIDI, it turns the MPC into a BIG card reader and it shows up your computer just
like a digital camera would, with a drive letter.

44khz/16bit samples wav files.

Bunch of other quirks you'll need to get used to.
