start up error .

i am having a problem when i start up my mpc 500,
MPC 500 start up. 128 MB i read on another forum that the fix is re installing the os.
when i take out the CF card it starts up it's only when i save to the CF i get the error.
and with out popping it out it won't start up my guess is it's the CF card or it's the os.
i hope the os flash will work. i think i accidentally corrupted a save and as a result it's effecting the os.

what do you guys think?
i tried looking in the forums prior to starting a thread.

i've been using it for a good while now, as well.
never had a problem like this.

only prob was undue button was stuck in.
I've added the ram, and replaced pads

it's been so good so far.

re-flashed, formatted,

for whatever reason the mpc stopped liking the old CF card.
so i purchased a new CF the same exact one since that's what Fred Meyer carries.

Kingston 4gb Flash and it works.

it's random seems like when i save entire mem project it does it
i have a new cf card and i haven't formatted it yet. maybe that's the problem

i don't really know what to do anymore...

I have a start up problem with this 500 my friend has... so I was checking out the threads to see what could potentially be the issue... this week I am supposed to drop by his studio to see what the issue is with my own eyes... he mentioned it to me over the phone which isn't really the best option for finding out..

if you have any other ideas or more info as to what you think could be the issue please post it up here.
