I have just lost the whole night of work !
I have an MPC 2500 SE.
I was creating a program with various drum kicks so i have recorded an entire drum solo from a record and extracted each kick into a new sample. After that I have created the program and assigned each kick to the pads, saved entire memory and everything.
But today I have turned my mpc on and the name of the program is still there, with an question mark in the front, but no sample is in there or in the trim mode!!! i have searched the entire memory card, nothing there!
So I was thinking what have I done wrong... The only thing I can think of is that after I have created (extracted) all these new samples, I have erased the original sample.
Could it be that that was the fale???
The same happend with the sample that I chopped. I have chopped the sample in the chop shop in 16 equal pieces converted it to sliced samples, created a new program. Did a beat with it, saved entire memory. Turned my mpc on today and everything is gone! but this time the roiginal sample is still there saved in the trim mode, so I don't have a clue waht is going on?
I'm sure that I haven't done anyting different than in the past 3 weeks. (That's how long I have my MPC) and this is the first time that this is happening. Also there is enough of the free room on the memory card, so that can't be the issue.
Any help is welcome. Thank you in advance.
