ASR10/MPC2000xl

i chop the samples in the ASR and sequence them in the MPC along with the drums. I usually play the samples on the keys of the ASR but i want to trigger the samples on the MPC pads via midi. i know it can be done because when i press the MP pad i hear the sample in the ASR but they are spread out crazy how can i re-assign the pads to play in order. like ASR sample one is on c#2 and have it trigger that sample with pad one on the MPC ASR sample d#2 on MPC pad 2 and so on i cant figure that shit out for the life of me lol

I figured it out last night! i cant believe no one offered up the solution and i know some peeps knew how to do this...... I am new to this online community, to show I wanna be a part of it I offer the solution to my Q in good faith lol

on the MPC2000xl you need to press SHIFT- PROGRAM and then press
DRUM 1 then you will see A01=35 you need to change 35 to match you first
ROOT KEY(sample in ASR10) I usually assign my first sample to C2 on the ASR10
so my number need to be change to 60 so it looked like A01=60 so when I hit the
A01 Pad on the MPC it played my first sample!
i assign my next chops to D2, E2, F2, G2, A3, B3 and so on down the keyboard
so on the MPC I assign A02=62(because i skip the black keys on the ASR10 i have to move the number up two values) A03=64, A04=65(because there is no black key between D and E)
i went thru and did that all thru the first 16 pads and Saved the program in the MPC
now next time i jus load that program chop my samples and i'm ready to go
bang them MPC pads until they wear out!!!! hope this was heplful any question post a reply and i hope i have the answer peace

glad you figured it out, and thanks for posting your solution to help anyone else with the problem. also, good job in that you continued to try instead of waiting around helplessly waiting to be spoonfed the answer.

dont get upset that nobody offered help - yes many people know how to do this, and most people know that this is common knowledge found in the manual. you really didn't give anybody a chance either - not even half a day had passed since you asked the question.

word! what do you guys work with? and i have been thinkin of getting a mpc2500 or 4000 any suggestions? and how similar are the asr10 and the eps?

get the 4000...and the eps 16 and the asr 10 are somewhat similar...read up on em, there are some differences...
