'Convert' stereo to mono

on the 2000, when i have a stereo sample i can convert it to 2 mono channels (in the trim menu)

is it possible to do this on the 1000? or do i have to sample in mono (l or r) from the outset??

Ok I'm sorry, it really seems that the Akai OS can't do this (checked from the v2 manual myself). But you're in luck as the Free JJOS can (version 3.12).

In trim mode, use the edit function and then go - stereo L to mono? or stereo R to mono ... or Stereo L&R to mono It works with the JJOS, I would have thought that the Og OS can do that too. You do have to copy the sample if you want 2 Mono samples though... Just splitting the sample into two sounds real cool actually... Why can't I do it like that?? Would save some time...

you can do it on the 2000 easy.

i gotta save my pennies for that hype jjos.

the 2000 sounds and feels loads better, but i want to use the jjos for the programming options, just familiarising myself with the 1000....
