Using OS2XL 3.11, I am trying to figure out how to record seamless loops with an Audio track. Feel free to say "you're doing it wrong" but here is what I am up to...

1) Record a midi track playing notes from my Triton.
2) Go to next track and set it to Audio.
3) Press Record and Play, which records a new take of the audio from the Triton.

So, having done all this, it sounds fine for the first pass through, but because the reverb tail (or whatever effect) isn't getting overdubbed to the start of the Take.

This is all fine and all, was curious if there was an option to make JJOS resolve this automatically.

My current thought on a workaround is to double up the midi track, play it twice. Record the Take, then halve the audio clip and midi clip.

I think this is the easiest way to do it, or how I would do it anyway:
1. Memorize the length of your pattern. Write it down to be sure.
2. Turn loop off and then record your audio track. Just let it run through and stop recording when you hit the end of your reverb tail. This way you can be sure to have extended the length of your pattern (and thus sample) to include the end of the reverb tail.
3. Mute this track after you're done recording.
4. Make a new track & Drum program. Assign your new audio take sample to one of the pads in One Shot mode.
5. Hit the pad you assigned that sample to once, at the very beginning of the pattern.
6. Turn loop back on and change your pattern back to the original size from step 1.

Now when you play the bar back, as long as you haven't maxed out your polyphony, the reverb tail should overlap with the beginning of the audio track. So it's technically not really an audio track anymore but it effectively works exactly the same with the bonus of overlapping the sample tails from the end of the pattern over the beginning.

(edited for using wrong/confusing terminology)

Yep, the sample will overlap its own beginning, the reverb tail will be maintained through the beginning of the seq loop and so forth down the line.

1) Record a midi track playing notes from my Triton.

2)In Mode Pad 16(song) set the sequence you just made to repeat how many times you need, then press F3 (mix-down). The press do it.

I think it should catch the re-verb. Also you may have to mute all other tracks.

This is what I've been doing for years. It's the reason I wanted Direct Recording to be brought over from Akai OS, so I can start my recording from an already-playing, FX-ridden loop. JJOS Audio Tracks doesn't allow for this because you have to start recording from STOP every time. My FX are nearly always in stereo (chorus, echo, rev, etc) btw.
