I still verrry confused!!!! :cry:
May I use ableton & audio interface to record my mpc's audio directly???
But I don't want to use the midi way..
In other words, I don't want to use my MPC as a midi controller~ :cry:
Because I only want to edit & chop in the mpc..

If can use ableton to record my mpc's audio directly..
then,how to set up the ableton ????HELP!!

(I got the mpc2500, m-audio profire610)

1. Open Ableton

2. Open "Preferences"

3. Click the "Audio" tab listed below "Look Feel"

4. Select your interface from the "Audio input" and "Audio output" dropdown boxes

5. Click on the "Input config" choose the right input

6. Close that and create a new audio track

7. In the "Audio from" box choose "Ext in" and below that choose the right channel

8. Connect the outputs of your MPC to the inputs of your interface using a cable

9. Press record in Ableton and then play to begin, make sure the tempos are correct

10. Press play on your MPC

11. When you've finished trim the audio

Just so you know mate all of this is covered in the Ableton manual, which is available in english, german, french, spanish, italian and japanese. This is a very common question, so you should probably check in your reference documents first before posting here.

but when I record mpc's song finished, the output is no sound..... :?
I'm sure it's something I don't have set right about HP laptop & m-audio profire610...... :?: :?: .
