can u save ur beats off da mpc straight to da computer without and computer software like cubase or etc

yes and no.

you can save your pgms, mids, and whatnot through a zip disk to your pc for storage. but you can't really do much with them on the pc (besides play the midi files using general midi sounds....

if youre are talking about audio - you need to record basically in realtime so you at least need decent stereo recording software. and if you want to multitrack you'll need multitracking software...

nope - when i play an mpc made midi file on my computer, its all piano notes. i know theres ways to change that, but they get pretty impractical.

you can synch the mpc and FL, and record audio into FL. if you have the 8 outs and a multiple in sound card you can record everything to seperate tracks (up to 8 at the same time). without it you have to do each track one at a time....
