Abelton Live question

yo a akai dps goes for 400 w/cd burner. A mpc 2000 or 2000xl is bout 600 to 800. turntable or a casio keyboard for sounds, 150 maybe. Do the math. thats enough to prodcue, mixdown and master a track. seems alot more cheaper then a pc.

do what works for YOU, if you decide to go the software route and it works, great! If you try the demo and it doesn't work the way YOU need it to then continue to use hardware or whatever YOU want to use.

hey bingo, if that works you got me. $1200 that is a good deal. i would love to see that combo in action but i guess one could get results with that combo. i have a kawai cheapo keyboard around here somewhere with midi and i am going to try to make a tune or 2 using my mpc and kawai keyboard. i let you know how it turns out.

I made a valuable point that you can't predict the future - and sure not the future of music-making.
I didn't assault your credibility and I didn't bash your statement that live is in fact a good tool.
That's because it's made from a musician/dj for musician's/dj's.

And I KNOW that the majority of PRO's does use ALOT of OUTBOARD at some stage of the process.


Man, if you would be just half that confident about your abilities - you wouldn't be in need of repeatin' and re-repeatin' yourself in every second post about how great/pro/experienced/WHATEVA you are.
