issue with my 60 is that it will be working fine, powers up and loads a floppy like normal, ill be jammin out, then boom, blank screen(backlight on but no txt) and no sound. driving me crazy. does it everytime. ill reboot, load, play seq and within 10-20 min same prob. one thing i noticed is that when it crashes the disk light comes on. sometimes i used to leave the machine on for like 10+ hours at a time, idunno if that could of had something to do with it. anyone had anything like this happen to them before??

open it up... and disconnect and reconnect all ribbon cables and connectors. Sometimes over time they shake loose and it can cause exactly that problem.

mr_debauch could be right !
Mine used to do that everytime and i didnt know where it came from... I opened the mp countless times and checked every connections and it didnt solve the problem.
I had figured out that if i shaked the whole mpc it would freeze and if i didnt sometimes just hitting a pad or a button would make it freeze.

I took it to a repair shop and the guy found out that it was actually the cable leading to the power supply that wasnt tightly connected/soldered. I bought my 60II from Ebay in the states and i think that during the shipping and all it might have gotten shaken too hard who knows...

Anyway, if all the connectors are tight you should be able to bang it ad vitam eternam
