Pads dead?

Just got a cheap 2000 because my 2500 is gash!

3 broken pads (and it's the contacts that are dead)
Anyone attempted contact repairs???
Thinking of a cheap idea

You need to replace the whole sensor sheet, you can't just repair a couple pads like the old 1K's as I know...

they seem to go out in rows, i'd suggest getting a whole new pad kit. You can get them used for 50-70 bucks. Another good route is to pick up a XL w/ a busted screen for $100 and keep it around for parts. It will pay for itself after your next repair.

It was also my plan
Mine went out as 3 random ones spread out so my plan was to buy one faulty... Even one with faulty pads would have been ok as I was going to carefully cut out working pads and their metal ribbons and glue to my existing sensor sheet.

However I got a working 2nd hand set for £60

This means my 2k is good to go
