where has all the new mpc 2000xl gone.

I've been searching for one and it seems no one has them. People tell me to buy a used one but i'm not to big on used things. Did akai discountinue them? I'm looking at the mv-8000, but I think i'd feel more at home with an mpc. Right now me and my peeps are working on getting a writers deal, even though we have the means to make our music, I need to get some songs off my mind here in the warmth of my crib.

Well... I've got one of them. hehe, nah, but before I bought mine I was reading (on here) alot of people saying how they were on back-order in the US and UK. There was discussion/rumours about them being discontinued, but Akai never did. Also, some people thought that they may have been doing this to make way for a new MPC... which is probably right seeing how Akai are about to release this upgraded 2000xl.
I didn't have to wait to get mine cause the Australian supplier (Australis Music) had them in stock.

Akai Pro (not 'Akai', which is a different company) has changed US distributors.

You know what I ment. I got my answer anyway I e-mailed AKAI PRO and got a reply that the new mpc2000xl will be out with in the next 60 days. So i'll just have to chill until then.

will the new cf drive be available serparately? i need one of those so bad! i'm still on weak ass floppy
