.WAV to .SND?

.WAV to .SND?

I have a MPC 2000 and I just bought a USB floppy drive so I can get the .WAV files on my computer to floppy disks. First I thought it was just drag and drop but my MPC doesn't seem to read .WAV files. It only reads the .SND files that came with the floppies. I've done the research & couldn't really find any topics on this. So I'm thinking I have to convert my .WAV files to .SND. But how? Any help is much appreciate.

2k classic needs OS v172 and then you can read 44khz/16bit format wav files. Download above in the dropdown menu.

Thanks Lampdog I got it to work. Now I'm wondering to save the samples I'll need a SCSI drive?

You can save samples on an internal mpc floppy or scsi card reader or scsi hard drive.

Ok let's say I chopped a kick drum from a sample. How would I go about saving that to the floppy internally?

you go to the disk menu (shift+3)

click f2 for the save tab... and you save it... choosing floppy as the drive.

Follow along with what mr_debauch said, and since that was a super basic question, grab a cotdam manual and read it :lol:
