yeah, the splash screen is not a big deal... but seeming that it is now there, and a new addition.. it got an opinionated comment. Is that okay?

Sure envision seems to have done a great job at the screens and you guys hold the perfect venue for the product... but wont the person who dropped nearly 200 bucks on the screen know where they bought it? (seeing that they will be the only person powering on their mpc) ..

also, it does right away prove the screen is upgraded for when you sell your mpc if you ever do... that is cool.

mentioning JJOS, does this mean those splash screens are customisable?

anyways, dont take it personally mpc stuff... I just like low profile stuff...

To whom is this comment directed?

We were sent a photo file and reconstructed it into a bitmap that fit the LCD. Sorry...

i guess its directed at the logo designer and the logo converter.

you dont have to apologise homey, im not complaining. props again on what yall do.

just saying i dont think the logo made the conversion to mpc-screen very gracefully.

let me emphasise, im not trying to throw rocks at yall, i just think it looks kind of funky.

Well I could give 2 runny $hits that the splash screen has MPCstuff on it. I, for one, can say that I am ecstatic that there is FINALLY a viable replacement for the 2000 and 2000XL screens. I've replaced mine 4, thats right... count'em... 4, times and the last 2 cost me $300+. The last time I swore that until there was something available other than an OEM stock LCD that this thing was going to be a very expensive paperweight in my studio.

Flash forward 3 years and in steps Envision. I've been following this thread for what seems like forever now and like I said I would, amidst all the skepticism and finger pointing that was going on in here over the last several months, I pre-ordered my screen last week. I had hoped that we would see them by years end but hey... I've been waiting like 3 years, whats another 4 weeks.

Anywho, for all those that want to continue to finger point about who is building what and what it won't do and how much it should cost... I'm glad you have time to waste. You should be in your studios making some music instead of on here complaining. I can't wait to get mine installed and have my glorious MPC back in working order. Expect a full rundown on fit, finish, and installation just as soon as it is in my hands. At $170, this is a steal. My thumbs up to those that try to help the community out by creating a solution to our common problem at a price we can all afford.

No offense taken.

We asked for a bitmap or Tiff and got a jpeg with aliasing. What are ya gonna do? The best you can, that's what.

oh ****.. if only there was a workaround for that calculator screen

yeah I didn't want to seem like I was knocking the screen with stating my opinion of the logo in the splash screen.. also I understand mpc-stuff has been going through a rough time due to negative comments on their decision to have their logo molded on the mpc1000 pads...

yes I understand why they do it... yes I know it makes no difference functionally, yes I know it's only cosmetic (while it's actually showing) ... and yes since this is a forum I have an opinion on it and stated it... actually I dont really mind it that much, it would have no impact on any purchases nor should it in my book.... simply put, if it's something to talk about, it's getting talked about.

Like I said...I don't take offense to it. We build to order. :)
