Lamp, I got the Creation Station too. Had mine since 2003. The only negative I have about it is there's no keyboard draw and the height of the desk surface is too low to install one without getting a few leg injuries. Other than that, it's cool with a small wireless keyboard. I don't have any more rack units. I once had an s950, s2000, and s2800 in there at once. Now I just have 2 Furman power conditioners and my old Sony Minidisc deck w/rackmount kit (circa 1997) in there to take up the empty space, since I don't rack my amp in there anymore to keep the fan noise from disturbing me.

Ryan, sorry I didn't call you on the week of Thanksgiving. I was having some relationship problems with my girl and needed to sort all that out with her. But anyway if you're still in the area, let me know. I gotta show you the new crib (been here for 3 years, but changed the entire studio recently). The Creation Station Lamp and I got will be perfect for any MPC. You'll still have room for a synth or small MIDI controller, as well as computer mouse and keyboard. I can't fit my MPC on there with my Axiom 49. But it's ok since the 1000 is to my right on a Mix-400 stand. I'm just glad I'm still able to fit the x0xb0x on the desk. That's the only hardware synth I have now after selling everything for a Mac. But it's cool cause I can still roll with 2 different workflow methods comfortably... MPC, x0xb0x, and turntables are off to the right of me, laid out comfortably to rock it old school.... and of course the Mac Mini, Axiom 49, and Scarlett 2i2 interface right in front of me for when I'm working with Reason 6 (and soon enough Logic Pro 9 after the holidays are over).
I keep my speakers on their stands, so that I can keep the Mac Mini, 20" monitor, interface. mic and headphones up there sitting comfortably within reach. After 16 years, I've learned how to make it all as efficient as possible concerning workflow, ergonomics, and gaining back some valuable space in the living room. So the way it's all laid out was carefully planned to comfortably suit any home studio project. If I wanna record with my guitar and have my brother or any of my friends bring their guitars along, there's enough room for that as well without any collisions or getting tangled up in wires. You gotta come over soon. I can post pics, but it would be better for you to get a feel for the studio and this desk if you're looking to buy one.

how's the quality of the wood? i cheked out some stuff @ stables that was cheap and when i thwaped the desk it seemed to make a bad sound...

I am curious about that QuNeo because I want a customizable touch control surface that isn't seriously big to control my daw. I really don't want to get an m-audio project mix cause I was looking at it but just looking. I don't need a control surface integrated into an audio interface, got an interface already. And I don't want the control surface to take up my whole desktop of the desk, I like to have room there to write notes and keyboard and stuff. I will never put my triton kydb or drum machine right on the desktop like most people I see in pictures.

I also have the mix-400 to hold my 4k, 2 tier keyboard tower as well.
