Hello,

I recently had to remove the faceplate of my mpc in order to swap out a couple of the plastic buttons that had been broken. unfortunately it turns out that even with the brand new button on it, the censor still wont register any button presses unless i remove the plastic button casing and press the sensor VERY firmly with my finger. is this just a case of bad saudering? it looks very difficult to access those parts.

thanks in advance for your time

it's an issue of a bad tact switch (the part that is being pushed by the button). you're going to need to order one of those and purchase a soldering iron so you can replace it.

it's very easy and you'll be more capable as a result

Try deoxit before you pick up a soldering iron.
