midi keyboard suggestions

im in search of a new midi keyboard, just curious what you guys suggest. I was leaning toward the oxygen 49 3rd gen. Any siggestions for a solid keyboard? just lookin to control the synths and instruments in my recently aquired pro tools setup.

not looking for anything crazy, just some decent keys and maybe some sliders and faders.

I was thinking of grabbing one of those my self.

Just copped an M-Audio O2 for $20 on craigslist for the backpack studio. This with reason 5 and an MPD26 on craiglist for $100!!! lol but to the OP question... Ive always liked the feel of the Axioms.

yeah ive read good things about the axiom pro's. i felt the keys of one at guitar center, they felt great. also they look real dope, lol.

i used to own an mpk but sold it. it seems the axiom pro is a much better keyboard for the same price. but damn they are expensive, i will say though the keys do seem to be better then most midi keyboards out there. i was just looking to spend around 200, not 500!

the thing thats holding me back from getting the oxygen right away is that it lacks midi in/out. i think itd be a good idea to get a keyboard with midi not just usb just incase i wanna buy a sound module or something down the road.

If it doesn't have to be new... look into stuff like the Roland A80 or the Yamaha KX88... albeit a little bit old, those are still regarded as some of the best master keyboards. It's not easy to find those however. I'm looking for a KX88 since quite a while and they are kinda rare over here.
