MPC 2500 + JJOS: can you change timing with slider?

I had an mpc1000 and upgraded to the 2500.. I'm about to upgrade to JJOS but am a lil' worried that you cannot affect the timing of a sample using the q-link. I didn't see it in the manual.. can anyone confirm you can do this?

what do you mean by timing?

with qlink in trim mode you can adjust start/end points of sample.

I haven't used the sliders to effect cc/or midi timing (not how i work), so maybe someone else can chime in on weather thats possible or not.

For 2500 xl jjos.
1)In Grid screen
2)Press note repeat + shift
3)Press F* (F1-F6)
4)Move Q1/Q2
5)Press hold a pad ( with sample assigned of course )at the same time, Move Q1/Q2.

Rec + play start + follow with 5)
