I have been reading post on this site for weeks and i just joined today. I have been having some troubles syncing my MPC 100 and korg m50 to logic and protools. I am wondering if I am doing this correctly so let me know if i am working backwards.

I am trying to open a new project in logic or protools and complete a fully tracked out project. What I am currently doing is recording the midi from the M50 which allows me to quantize in logic and send the data to a audio track for recording. after this I delete the midi notes I then start this process over.
When working on projects in logic I would like to use the MPC (of course) to lay down my drum patterns ( i am using the MPC as a slave...is this right??). The problem is sometimes the mpc goes out of sync with logic. Also I noticed that when I use the M50 some of the pads play on the mpc ( i usually turn dow the volume of the MPC so it does not get heard when I record into logic). this is the least of my worries though.
can anyone tell me what is the best way to incorporate the MPC and the M50 to work in logic. I am looking to speed up my work flow without compromising the quality.BTW i do not have JJos. ****THANK EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP****

Some of your sounds playing from the m50/mpc, is local control.
Read your manual and find out how to turn off/on local control so you don't hear sounds from the other machine.

Figure out what MTC and MMC are for and choose the correct one for what you are trying to accomplish.
