MPC 2500 - Reformat/Reset. Pads , 16Levels, Mode button not

Hello,

I have an MPC2500. I have JJOS 3.1 installed. The pads have stopped working and when I click the Mode button to go to Program, Grid Edit or any other function, nothing works. The 16 Level button does not work either.

I can't load anything. I can't mount it to my computer. It is a stressful time I must say.

Would reformatting/resetting the OS to factory help? If yes, how can I reset it?

Please help

dont think formatting is neccessary but i'd try factory reset

I have tried doing that by holding down the erase button when starting it but nothing happens.
Would you know how to?

it didnt work because you're on JJOS...im not sure if you can do it on JJ...i would roll back to stock akai os and try that

Trust me man. I have been researching this for the last two weeks.

I forget what the procedure is...it's on jjs website...i think you do it from load menu

That is the problem. I cannot get to the load menu since my pads do not work and when I press the Mode button and Pad 2, which is the Load pad, nothing happens.

Im not sure if this feature is enabled by default or even exists in free jj, but I can access load/save menu by pressing numerical button #2

Do you press Mode + 2?

I dont think I have that option. I tried numerical 2 with and with out Mode.
This is a nightmare.

no just 2, I think I enabled this feature on accident and no clue how to replicate it
