anyone have a simple guide on how to remove the jog wheel and volume / record knobs ? am customising my 1000 and want to paint these items ive done the faceplate already but i dont know how to remove these knobs i dont want to just pull em off an break something. all help appreciated !

Open it up, take off the faceplate, then you can just pull the knobs off

that was simple haha thanks ! do you possibly know the best way to fix cursor buttons mine work but often i have to push them really hard etc ?

When you've got it open, check the plastic buttons aren't broken, as in the bit you press that comes through the case hasn't broken away from the surround. If they are a bit mashed up, you can get replacements from mpcstuff.com or renato-rizoli.com or maybe ebay - easy fix.

If thats not the problem its probably the actually component parts themselves. try seaching for "tact switches" using the forum search function and there should be a few threads to help out. This will be a bit more of a pain and will involve soldering.

try deoxit (you have to spray a LITTLE bit on the tact switch, not on the plastic button). if that doesn´t help you have to solder in a new tact switch (these are cheap. just don´t buy them from mpcstuff.com).
