What up folks,

I need a kind soul to help about a bit. Here's my scenario:

Got my MPC2500SE last August. Installed jj os-xl (ver. 2.30), played around with it to become familiar with the workflow. Had to put it away because of university studies...Then I saw last month (Nov 2011)...a newer version of os-xl was put out (ver. 3.11)...So I installed that.....Then today, I noticed that (ver. 3.12) was put out Dec 5th..tried to install it and it would boot after I loaded it...So I'm back to the (ver. 3.11).

Now that I'm back to the os-xl ver. 3.11, after reading and reading, I can't figure out how to mute assign pads (so the pad sounds will cut off when hitting another pad etc). I know in the older versions os1 and os2 its in mode + program then "param".. And mute assignments can be added...

In os-xl versions 2.30 or 3.11, how can I do it? Can anyone hook up a step-by-step?

oops yeah forgot that you want the sample to play back mono not poly.

and leave mute as mute not simult.

then go to groups and assign a group number.

so if you have a group of cello notes you want to cut each other off, assign them all the same group number, eg 1.

simult is short for simultaneous, for when you want to trigger other pads at the same time as you hit the pad you're on.
