do some of u often plug a trs cable into the female xlr input? i tracked out my mpc the other day doing this and it sounded fine, is this done often? i figured since the trs cable fit perfectly in the middle of the xlr input, why not...is this common?

i recorded my mpc using trs cables into the back of my mbox using the xlr inputs...

if an xlr input has the middle hole for trs then why not use it.
many interface can switch from mic/inst inputs. use what you have.

mpc 1/4 analog mono jacks are line level/inst.

you are overthinking it.
