it might seem like a bit of a silly question - i've had a little hunt on the net and been watching ebay like a hawk but its taken me alot to juggle the money for it and i don't want to get a lemon...just wondered if there is anyone (obvious or otherwise) who is known for reliable sales.. i know nothing at all about the machines technically and basically want some guarantees. Thanks in advance! can't wait to get hold of one of these...

The problem is that they are discontinued so the only way you can buy one
is second hand. If your lucky, you can find one in your local music store but its going to be really overpriced and it might even be a bit damaged. So ebay is your best bet.
You can also check on here. Theirs been a couple people on the forum who have been trying to sell their 3000, I seen some nice one's for a good price.

Thanks Scooby and SkyW.. Yes i was looking for someone that knows their stuff enough to sell me one they know has no faults, as they are all second hand as you say.. i've seen ad's for other stuff on ebay for eg with full guarantees from people with the technical knowledge to back it up..(like some people on here!) kind of wondered if there was an obvious london dealer but guess not... i saw that one on ebay, it's been tempting me, looks very clean.. but as you say they don't go for 1000gbp when they come up for auction.. might try and bargain him down.. I'm new to this though..how much would you pay for a crisp one? also wondered about people selling on here but i see there's no sales section (i know they're a pain in a*** for the moderators from other forums..) anyone in the uk with a nice fresh one let me know! many thanks for replies!

You should hunt down Clint on here as he lives in London and has his finger on the pulse with second hand MPC's. He's done a disappearing act recently though...

You should also keep an eye on www.mpchunter.com as they collate the listings from all the major selling sites.

Sure you must have copped the MPC3000 by now?
