MPC 1000 - what i need to know before buy?

Hello, im familiar with older MPCs but i'm buying 1000 now so can you help me what i need to know before buy? What upgrades are recommended by you? I'm buying used one so i might choose one that has some of them already. Thanks for your advice.

I would say that one of the more important things to look for
when buying a second hand MPC is that the RAM is maxed out.

Which models does have it? MPC stuff is selling it, but the price is costly...

I bought the Akai Refurbished from Akaipro for $699. It has the new pads and looks almost new - may be a customer return within 30 days.

I just added a $10 RAM from Partsquick in ebay and it works fine. A standard 8gb kingston CF card holds all my samples.
