MPC 2000 Startup via SCSI Help

I just purchased an MPC 2000 without a startup disk, but I have an SCSI drive. I tried to format a SCSI disk and then add the MPC2000.SYS file to the disk's root folder (via USB/Internet) and then l tried to load it to the MPC (via External SCSI Drive), but I still get the "Insert MPC 2000 Disk !" warning. What more can I do?

I'm sorry for the double post.

But I tried to just load the startup from a floppy instead and I am getting the "disk read error" message now...

Any help would be great
