New to the forum, so hi all.

I'm having trouble syncing my TR909 and my MPC1000, with the MPC as the slave, 909 as the master.

Clock syncing goes well, but my 909 seems to send out note information to my MPC as well, which results in a chaos of samples being played by the MPC.

Is there a way to have my MPC receive ONLY midi clock info?

Thanks!

go the other way. Sync TR909 to MPC. Your TR909 is obviously transmitting midi notes of your drum pattern, so I would go other way for simple solution. Otherwise you need to read the TR909 manual to see if you can turn off MIDI note transmission.
Also try setting midi recieve channle to channle that is not being used by the TR909, say midi channle 16. I have not used AKAI Sys for ages so dont remeber, but I'm sure you can change the midi recieve to a channle instead of actie track. I think some one here might know....Look in the manual

Yes, I can use the MPC as a master without a problem. Thing is: my setup asks that I use the 909 as the master. Long story.
I've tried to find a way to stop the 909 from sending midi notes, to no avail.
I'll see if I can change the midi receive channel on the MPC. I tried the manual, of course ;)

Any suggestion still welcome!

OMNI off of the TR909 maybe....change midi recieve channle on mpc is the best way.
