Anyone know what the "other" mode is? Did they want to have an "SP1200" mode, but couldn't legally or what?

You could be right, unless the "other" button covers more than one emulation and they didn't want to clutter the interface.

True....but if that's the case and you can assign more "modes" there, why can't a user have more than 8 banks? Not that I would ever need more than that, but shit...if it's one big assignable mouse, why not?

I dunno...we're speculating here....guess we need more info.

I'm with everyone else, it needs to work in standalone mode for me to consider it.

I spoke to Akai on their FB page and they wont confirm it works in standalone mode but they have said "their software is killer". Which suggests it's purely software.

Lmao

That's the exact opposite of answering your question....

That's like

Customer to apple rep: Can I use my iphone in airplane mode?

Apple rep: It makes GREAT phone calls!

Well, I am guessing they mean it can do both. It can work standalone or with a computer. Like the Beat Thang (what a piece of shit that is).

Although they couldn't answer me directly when asked.

Edit: I see what you meant. Ignore the above. Just woke up to catch the launch still asleep.
